My goodness! Thank you. That is so extraordinarily reminiscent of the Roman aqueducts at (eg) Pond du Gard - similarly overgrown, similarly calcified. But what was the date of the Pelton wheel turbines? Did their use stop before or after the Roman aquaduct? Only Google could tell us...
