Today was a cultural day. This morning we went to the museum, where we saw lots of old Maori weaponry, and the afternoon was spent wandering round the Weta exhibition, looking at middle earth weaponry.
We also saw a cool working warthog from the Halo movie that was never made, and found out how to make an alien gun from District 9.
Here's a picture of a troll.
I can't remember whether that's Bill, Tom or Bert. I'll have to re-watch the relevant scene from the first Hobbit film.
ReplyDeleteWhat would be scary is if the troll were driving the Warthog whilst toting the District 9 gun and wielding a large Middle-Earth weapon whilst wearing Maori tribal designs.
Weta are great.
I'm sure that Weta must have a suggestion box on their website. Perhaps you should suggest it.
ReplyDeleteThe locals might take offence of course, with the tattoo being of major cultural significance, and all of of the film companies would sue them, but you never know, they might just do it anyway.
Oh, and though they never made the Halo film, Weta did do a short, which I think is on you tube. Probably worth a look.
ReplyDeleteThe warthog is fully working (apart from the machine gun) and when 2 Weta technicians got married, they used it to leave the ceremony!
Hannah, I hope that you didn't think it was a stone troll and find out that it wasn't...
ReplyDeleteSo, what you're saying is, apart from the major racist, ethical and moral issues, my idea is completely workable? That means, somewhere in an infinite universe, it must have happened....
